Some connections are neither loud nor flashy, yet they remain steadfast and deeply cherished over more than a decade. On August 28, 2026, a warm appreciation gathering was held at the Southern Petroleum Transportation Joint Stock Company (SPT) office meeting room. This was an occasion for the entire company to express sincere gratitude to Mr. Tran Van Hung—the dedicated companion behind the wheel who has been with SPT since April 12, 2013—as he officially enters retirement on September 1, 2026.

Over 13 Silent Years Behind the Wheel

With over 13 years of service spanning nearly two decades of the company’s growth, Mr. Tran Van Hung has been a familiar face to all SPT office staff. In his role as the company driver, he regularly transported the Board of Management and accompanied employees on numerous business trips. Though his work was quiet and rarely highlighted, his dedication, meticulous care, and punctuality on every trip ensured that operations for the executive board and staff always ran smoothly and on schedule.

A Warm Gathering – Expressing Words of Gratitude 

The appreciation event took place in a warm and touching atmosphere inside the SPT office meeting room. Mr. Dang Thanh Hai, Head of the Administration and Human Resources Department, led the program and shared moving words recalling memorable moments between Mr. Hung and the staff over the years.

On behalf of the Board of Management, Mr. Nguyen Son Lam, Deputy General Director of Phuong Nam (SPT), extended his deep gratitude to Mr. Hung for his 13-plus years of steadfast companioning with the company’s growth since its early days. These sincere words were not only a thank-you to an individual, but also a recognition of the quiet contributions made by the preceding generations—the foundation for SPT’s strength today.

Moved by the affection of his colleagues, Mr. Hung expressed his heartfelt feelings, looking back at unforgettable memories with co-workers and expressing his appreciation for the warmth shown by the SPT team throughout his journey. He received fresh bouquets of flowers and meaningful gifts from the Company and his colleagues as a loving and cherished farewell.
