Established on April 11, 2008, Southern Petroleum Transport Joint Stock Company (PVTrans SPT) – a member company of PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) – operates professionally in the field of coastal and oceangoing cargo transportation, delivering safe, efficient, and flexible shipping solutions for both domestic and international customers. From its early days, PVTrans SPT faced the severe global maritime crisis (2008–2012), when freight rates declined sharply and many shipping companies went bankrupt. With strategic vision, effective restructuring, and continued market expansion efforts, the company successfully overcame difficulties and gradually built a solid foundation for sustainable development.
In 2024, PVTrans SPT proudly celebrates 10 consecutive years of growth, expanding its fleet to nearly 200,000 DWT, enhancing competitiveness, and better serving the diverse needs of customers.
